Im 3/4 black caribbean %26amp; 1/4 indian portugese. If I want to have my hair curly and wear it out I have to wash it and put gel in then scrunch it into waves. I could use activator but it is messy and greasy. The problem comes when I want to tie it back then it just becomes a hand ful and mess. HELP! is it worht me using a colour on top of my dark brown hair.

plait it at night with a lil bit of leave in conditioner or oil and take it out and fluff it in the morning. Replait it every night to maintain waves/ curls. A few highlights could brighten up your look.
