Curly / Wavy Hair question?

So i have kind of curly, wavy hair. It looks really nice as soon as i step out of the shower, and for another like 5 minutes. BUt then it starts drying and gets kinda frizzy. I used to use gel, or dove frizz control. But i feel like all the chemicals are like killing my hair. Is there a technique anyone uses to get your hair to dry slowly and look nice, with like a little mousse or gel? Like some special way to wrap it with a towel, or a way to blowdry it without frizzing it? Thanks!

-Read the book and visit the site below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life!

-The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygenic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent. They dry out curly hair.

- Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. Then spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse. It is also important to use gel on wet hair and scrunch the hair. Then let your hair air dry or use a blowdryer with a diffuser.

- I really like the frizz-ease hair serum and garnier fructis products. Aussie Moist Conditioner works great too, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the website.

- If you feel like products are building up in your hair use a little baking soda along with your conditioner to cleanse your hair. Then be sure to do a deep conditioning treatment.

-This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least the website. Good luck!

Try using a proffesional quality mousse and dry it with a diffuser.

Umm... I have wavy hair too. Mine isn't really that frizzy though.

Blow drying will work but also try garnier fructis curls %26amp; shine hair spray. But it's your choice!!!!

I use the green sunsilk creme and then I use a straightening iron. The sunsilk totally gets rid of the frizz.

Do not towel dry your hair. That makes it frizzier. Comb it out out and squeez the excess water from your hair. Then use Biosilk by Farouk. Don't use a lot-dime to nickel size amounts. Then distribute throughout your hair starting at the ends. You VERY little up top because if you use too much near your scalp you'll look greasy.

I'm gonna give you some personal tips on natural curly hair.

First of all stay away from gels, mousses, and heavy greases, hair sprays.

My personal favorite hair product is Fantasia, IC, Corrective Response Complex. This is an excellent conditioner and shiner. It's light meaning, doesn't weigh your hair down. De-tangles hair nicely too. I think this stuff is great! I use it every day. Basically what you should be looking for is hair serums. This is all you really need if you are going natural. STOP putting chemicals in your hair. Don't do that because this is what's making it grow slow. Do not blow dry it. Let it air dry. Towel dry it first and then immediately put the IC serum on your hair. If you must dry it, put the IC on your hair first. Don't do a lot of brushing or combing. Use a pick or your fingers if you want to keep it curly. If you blow dry it, make sure your start from the root and use a wide tooth comb or a wide tooth pick; that will make it easier to dry faster. Make sure you've put the IC on before blow drying.
