Curly/wavy hair help(guy)?

Ever since my hair started to become curly i have always hated it. It is very wavy on the top and the sides are very curly/frizzy. I use a leave in conditioner but it does not do much as my hair is very thick. All i want is for my hair to be manageable and look decent. My hair currently is about 3 - 3 1/2 inches long and it always looks crazy. I am not sure if i should get it cut short or grow it out longer again. What i basically want is a new style or hair cut that will look good with my hair and does not require much work. I have a long face type (i thick) and have posted a crappy picture below. I am open to all serious suggestions and details and examples always helps more. Thx

what are you lookign for? if you get a japenese hair straightening it wil stay straight for about a year (without the worry of straightening it or having your friends calling you gay cuz you straighten it)

it actually looks okay. longer hair would be better than short hair. ( i hate guys with short hair)

I have really long curly hair...and I use Garneir Fructise....the shampoo, conditioner, and leave in conditioner and oil stuff...for curly hair....it is amazing...my hair is usually frizzy but this stuff helps....a lot...or u could straighten is every day

to be honest?

one; go %26amp; get 'ethnic' hair products if deep conditioning is what your heart is set on. it's MEANT for thick/coarse hair,%26amp; helps make it more managable.

two; go into a beauty supply shop, set up an appointment with a stylist at a salon-- be a total guy about it-- %26amp; be flat out honest "lord,I have no idea how to,but I need my hair to be manageable %26amp; look good" %26amp; always ask friends(chicks especially) if they know good places to get hair done. popular places usually means they are popular for a good reason. if a place is busy, that's a good sign.

NEVER commit to something you're not comfortable with when talking to a stylist or hairdresser. be honest about what you want. (as a guy, that means fairly low maintainance %26amp; what makes you look best.)

it's pretty common to get layers to 'thin out' the big volume of thick hair. if you do layers, cut them so they bring out what your favorite features are, or so they are flattering to your face shape.

hmm.... i think curly hair is really pretty when its under control. Try lots of products. If your is really frizzy go to a hair salon and get your hair chemical relaxed. Chemical relaxed hair last for a long time, like 5 months and keeps hair under control.
