I have curly frizzy hair and i dont know how to tame it...plz help.?

My hair is rly curly and cant forget frizzy...i hate it i straighten it sometimes but it takes up to much time so i usually leave it in a bun. but i dont like it like that way. i want to be able to leave it down and not look so frizzy and dryed out...i want it to be shiny and well just nautral.

oh and another thing if i brush it or even try to run my fingers through it turns into nothing but frizz....and it is HUGE. i hate my hair.

I have natural curly hair too! This is hard sometimes. It's so hard to keep your hands out of it. I have found two good products I like. Here is what I do...After I shampoo %26amp; condition, I put on a deep conditioner (this is a little expensive sometimes, but worth it). I either use Samy brand or Dove Deep Conditioner. Then I put in Samy Silk anti-frizz smoothing serum throughout my hair after I take it out of the towel. I then spray it all over with Dove Leave-In Replenishing Mist (Both are at Wal-mart). I then add my gel and get a hand-towel and scrunch it with the towel to absorb the extra water and to set the curls. Then I either let it air dry ( a little more frizzy) or I use one of those bowl diffusers with my dryer ($6.00) @ Walmart). My hair usually turns out with soft curls that are springy and they don't get real frizzy. Sounds like a lot and time-consuming, but it only takes me 5-10 min max. Hope this helps.

Do a hot oil treatment, that should work. Or get some anti frizz stuff.

Work with it, not against it....When you wash your hair you need to press it dry with a chamois cloth (like you dry your car with). Use Gel to style it....don't EVER brush it. If it's too uncontrollable long, try wearing it really short......Find a GOOD stylist who can teach you how to work with it....

My friend has the same problem. When do you wash it? morning or night? She washes hers @ night and then towel dries it and sleeps with it wet so it can air dry. Blow drying big poofy frizzy hair is a no no. Also try that hair serum stuff after you wash it. it can help smooth down hair and keep it calm and under control!

Best thing to do is braid it.. Like do cornrows at the front and braid it into sections in the back. thats what i do. Im biracial so my hair is really curly and frizy (you name it lol) so I find it easier in braids, dont have to worry about all that fuss. But when I do where it down I use moose in my hair and it defines the curls and takes the frizz away. You wet your hair first then apply the moose all over your hair and it will make the curls more bouncier and shiny and the best thing is there is no frizz! The product is called curl enhancing mousse. By suave professionals. And it does wonders on mine. I get tons of complements on my curly hair. I use to hate it because i (like you) didnt know how to control my hair. My friend has hair like mine and she introduced me to using curl enhancing mousse and it works sooo good. YOu can get it at Zellers, Wallmart.. any big brand name store. Or you can use gell. It makes it crunchy though (which i hate) but it doesnt frizz and thats the only good thing. IF your desperate. But for now just like braid it into tiny sections and cornrow it at the front.. its soo much easier. And it looks great.

relax it with a chemical relaxer. The safe, expensive way is to get it done in the salon. It costs the same as a perm. The cheap way (ten dollars or less), is a home relaxer kit you can purchase in a grocery or discount chain. I have used many and my favorite is Dr. Miracle's which is sold at wal-mart. trouble is, some people's hair can't take it, so it is important that you strand test first if you are doing it at home - so you do not wind up with fried hair or bald. If you are not african-american (and I assume you are not, or you already would know about hair relaxers), you will have to leave the relaxer in your hair for less time than instructed or you will fry your hair. The Dr. Miracle's is supposed to stay in for 13-20 minutes depending on hair type, and I do 10-12 minutes. You might want to start out with even less time and see what happens. If you do fry your hair, it comes back quite nicely if you saturate your hair with a high-quality deep conditioner and put it under a shower cap for an hour, then rinse and repeat. The relaxers are sold in the ethnic hair care section.

Whether or not you use a relaxer, your hair type does well with lots of leave - in product. Sunsilk makes a leave - in in a blue bottle called "anti-poof", parneveau (also in ethnic section) makes a good leave - in for extra dry hair, and frizz eaze, TX, and Got 2 Be all make good leave - in hair serums. These are all to be applied when wet; to stop frizz on an emergency basis during the day when your hair is already dry, use frizz-eaze Secret Weapon. This is all from personal experience, and every product I have mentioned is widely available at pharmacies, groceries, and discount chains and is reasonably priced.

Hey girl!

I have naturally curley hair and I had the same problem with my hair being frizzy and dried out. My girlfriend hipped me to a hair product called "Volumax", it comes in a big black bottle with a big "V" on the front. There are several products, but the one you want to buy is the "Glaze". You can by it at any Sally Beauty supply store it costs about $6.00 for a big bottle. What I do it wash my hair and while my hair is wet I part my hair into four sections and I saturate my enire hair with the Volumax from the root to the tip. Then I use a Waffle brush/comb and comb through my hair to make sure that there aren't any tangles, then I hairspray my hair all over making sure to lift up the top of my hair and get the hair underneth and let it air dry. It makes my hair so shiney and healthy. Total time to do this takes me about 20 min, and I have long curley hair. Also, don't wash your hair every day. Doing so takes all of the natural moisture out of your hair. Try washing your hair 2-3 times a week. Good luck!!

there's lots of things you could do. relax it, get a perm, wear gel, etc.

i found this great recipe for a treatment to put on your hair, if you're interested:

Hot Oil Hair Treatment

21 min 1 min prep

Change to: treatment US Metric

4 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons honey

2-3 drops essential oils

Put honey, oil and essential oil in a plastic bag.

Twist but don't tie.

Pour boiling water in a mug.

Add plastic bag to mug until it warms up.

Apply gently to wet hair.

Don't pour it on your head, put the mixture on your hands and apply to all of your hair.

Wrap up your hair with a showercap, a towel or cling wrap.

Jump in the bath or shower.

Wait twenty minutes, then rinse and wash hair normally.
