Do any of these "curl activating" shampoos work? My hair was curly when I was little, has unconformed waves where it is humid and it is stick straight where it is dry. My little boy has the same curls that I had when I was little, and I am living vicariously through him, refusing to cut his hair(it comes down past his shoulder blades now!) Any advice?

You could scrunch your hair. While your hair is damp, put a curl shaping gel or mousse in it, then dry it on low heat with a diffusing hair dryer, then hair spray after that.

Try pin curls in your hair. Just twist sections of hair and pin them to you head. Your hair should be wet when you do this. Let your hair air dry, take the bobby pins out and then you should have curly hair!!

body waves are nice for a subtle wave. but if your hair is competly straight now the conditioners and shampoos wont do anything for you. hope that helps

try braiding it at night while its wet (after a shower) then take them out in the morning (or after a few hours if you are going somewhere) and you should have waves. (Spray some hair spray on the braids before unbraiding and as soon as you unbraid so they won't fall out.

FYI - the smaller the braids the tighter the waves.

Otherwise just use a curling iron. I don't think the shampoos and such work.

you could use a crimper or a hair straightener that can curl your hair or a Perm.

Use the curling shampoos....and when u get out get some mousse, and scrunch scrunch scrunch...and you will get some curl in it, buy a de-fussier for your hairdryer too and use it, it will work!

The only other way to curl is to use a diffuser, if your hair is chin length, (a little shorter or a little longer), this works out really well, use mousse, and put the diffuser on low and crunch your hair as drying, this works best if you have even just a little body in your hair, then fix !!!!!!!! yes curl activators work especialy if it is in ur genes to hav a tendency toward curly hair...cut his hair when he's asleep...you shouldn't let children control you you are the boss.
