Curly hair please?

i have thick poofy hair....it is soo tireing in the mornings when i wake up to take a shower, dry and straighten my hair. i want to know how to scrunch my hair but everyime i try to scrunch in it just stays strait and looks a mess PLEASE HELP ME

Well as you can tell by my name I have curly hair. I used to straighten it everyday and I know exactly what you mean. I found something that works for me but I don't know if it will work with your hair. But alot of my friends use this mousse and it makes all of their hair look really curly(even though their hair isn't that curly. (see link) You can only get the mousse in salons, but it is really worth it. And my secret weapon is a difuser. When I get out of the shower I comb my hair out and then scrunch it with a towel. Then I apply this mousse all over and let it air dry for a few minutes. Then I flip my head upside down and difuse it until it is dry. Then its really frizzy. But there are alot of anti-frizz products that really work. Good luck and stop straightening your hair! Experiment with different products until you find what works. EMBRACE THE CURLS :)

dont put too much product in it because that weighs it down. try drying it a little before you put product in it then continue drying it with a difusser (spelling). Its an attachment that goes on the end of your hair dryer. It scrunches my awesome. Good luck!

do you use conditioner - that helps.

also some of the serums that are about - they can help calm down the frizz and smooth your hair - just look at the labels and find one that sounds like it does what you want.

the important thing is to use them exactly as the instructions say - if it says use on wet hair, then make sure your hair is wet and hasn't even had a sniff of a towel :o)

I have curly hair, and I use mousse to style it. I usually get as much as the size of my palm, apply it on my hair, and I do it two or three times because I have a lot of hair. It makes my curls look natural and pretty. I rarely blow dry my hair. Just turn your head upside down, and apply the mousse as you scrunch your hair with your hand. the cheap way to go is with Thermasilk, mousse for dry hair. When you try a mousse, it should not be sticky on your hand.
